That's the whole game. 8 mystic slots, 10 skills worth knowing — the ones on this page win fights because they punish clusters, and every guild we've fought eventually clusters.
Crowd control chains a silence into a spreading poison. Burst damage turns a burn stack into a kill. Sustained damage punishes anyone who stands still. Pick your 8 based on your role — but the skills that read the cluster are never optional.
One Toad Venom tick on the source node spreads to every ally standing close. In a real cluster this is how a party dies together — stagger, damage, spread, repeat.
Light damage, heavy consequences. Use both when the enemy is grouped up — that's the whole point of this category.
Land 5 hits on a target and they're silenced for 3 seconds — no skills at all. Coordinated with your group, this locks a target out for an obnoxiously long time. It also instantly spreads the Toad Venom debuff from Leaping Toad.
Best used the moment the enemy balls up.
Countermeasures
Applies Toad Venom: every few seconds the target staggers, takes damage, and spreads the debuff to nearby allies. That green-black cloud you've seen wipe a whole group in GvG — this is where it starts.
Best used the moment the enemy balls up.

Burn stacks are the setup. These two skills are the payoff — built for putting down the tree holder before anyone can react.
The PvE staple is a monster here too — a respectable damage burst that applies a burn debuff stacking up to 10.
Use on tree holders.
Countermeasures
Incredible burst damage on any target already carrying a burn stack — and everyone standing near them. It also stacks more burn on the target.
Use to burst down the enemy tree holder.
Countermeasures
Costlier than the rest, but reliable when the whole group fires it together.
More expensive than the other skills here, but an easy way to hit groups of enemies when your whole party pops it together. Cast it and forget it.
Countermeasures
The skills you reach for when the fight turns on you instead.
Always in the bar. Use when immobilized, silenced, or stuck in an enemy animation loop — or to interrupt an enemy attack outright.
A shield. At 100 vitality (or 90 at tier 4), it shields nearby allies too.
Your slow getaway. At tier 5, the second spear pulls in nearby enemies with a short vortex. Can be used offensively — but it takes you out of the fight.
Lowest priority on this list — not every role can afford to leave combat.
Reduces enemy healing — use it right before an execute. Also works as a dodge to escape enemy attacks.
Always in the bar, any content. Costs 0 vitality, low cooldown, and closes gaps for every build.
